BarChip is an avid supporter of ISCA’s mission to improve the long term environmental, social and economic outcomes of construction projects and believe that BarChip macro synthetic fibre can help deliver these goals. In 2020, BarChip completed and registered Environmental Product Declarations with EPD International (you can see them here) and these EPD’s showed the environmental benefits of BarChip vs traditional alternatives.

It’s the data from these independently verified EPD’s that is used in ISCA’s ISupply database, which combined with ISCA’s other rating tools, allows a project to quantify and score how sustainable their project is. Currently under construction, the BarChip reinforced Parramatta Light Rail achieved the highest standard of sustainability in the industry using the ISCA system.
